Auckland Show Earlybird Ticket Pricing Error – FAQs

Why were there only postings on Facebook and Instagram on 24 May 2024 and not an email to subscribers to notify us that the ticket pricing issue has been resolved?

We acknowledge that this was our shortcoming and our apologies for that. We trusted that most of our subscribers (if not all) regularly followed our postings on social media. We thought that these communication channels would be the quickest way to provide you with real-time updates on activities such as the resolution of this issue. However, we realised that was not the case and so, going forward, we will make sure to always inform our subscribers by email as well, of any important updates.

Even though we were waiting in the queue for the event to go live on Ticketmaster i.e. before 12pm last Thursday 23 May, why could I not immediately see or access VIP General Admission, VIP Allocated Seating and/or Premium Pass tickets?

Parokya ni Edgar’s Down Under Tour 2024 show in Auckland has turned into such a popular event, from the concert teaser announcement leading up to the on-sale date. Due to the number of people being online – all trying to access and purchase tickets at the same time – it is possible the system was not able to handle the simultaneous bookings and made it appear as though tickets were not available. It could also be that at the time you are making the purchase, these tickets were already sold out.

Are VIP General Admission, VIP Allocated Seating and/or Premium Pass tickets sold out? If so, why was this not announced immediately?

Yes, all these ticket types sold out as soon as the event went on sale despite our advisory to hold off from purchasing tickets due to the ticket pricing issue. VIP tickets sold out within minutes from the event going on sale and the Premium Pass tickets sold out later in the day. We were only able to announce that these tickets sold out the following day (24 May) because we were focused on resolving the ongoing issue with Ticketmaster first and foremost. We also wanted to take the time to ensure that the information we reported publicly was accurate.

Why could I not see the interactive seat map once the event went live on Ticketmaster?

It is normal behaviour for loading of the interactive seat map to take a few minutes after an event has gone on sale.

Even though I could not see the interactive seat map, I still went ahead and bought tickets. Because I was unable to freely choose the allocated seat or ticket type I want and/or am not satisfied with the seat location, could I change my seat/s or get an upgrade for my ticket/s rather than a refund?

Please refer to Ticketmaster’s FAQ page and Purchase Policy.

Will I be refunded for the difference of my purchase from the earlybird pricing?

Ticketmaster sent an email this afternoon to affected customers informing them of the partial refund due to the pricing error. We have been advised that you should see the partial refund reflected in your original method of payment at the time of purchase within 7-10 business days.

What happens to us who followed the advisory to hold off from purchasing tickets and waited for the earlybird prices to take effect in Ticketmaster?

Please note that despite our advice to interested concert goers to hold off from purchasing tickets until the pricing matter was resolved, a great majority still took the risk and chose to purchase tickets at the general on-sale price. Hoping for your understanding in this regard.

You mentioned in your posting that you will look to release a limited amount of VIP and Premium Pass tickets 2-3 weeks before the concert (or earlier). Can you let us know how many more of these tickets will be released and/or can we reserve these tickets?

We cannot disclose the number of VIP and Premium Pass tickets to be released 2-3 weeks (or earlier) before the concert takes place. We also do not reserve tickets as we follow an equal sales opportunity practice for all potential customers.

We emailed or messaged you directly on social media with an enquiry or concern relating to this issue. Why haven’t we heard back from anyone from your team?

As mentioned previously, Sinag Productions is tightly resourced. Please give us 5-10 business working days to respond to your concern or enquiry. We appreciate and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

    Is there an age restriction?

There is no age limit or restrictions for the PNE concerts in NZ but we highly recommend & suggest that for the safety of your children ages 17yo and under, you consider purchasing seated tickets as opposed to standing GA tickets. Please note that seated tickets will be limited for both venues.

Are we allowed to bring children?

Yes, there is no age restriction, but we will require children aged 14yo & below to be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian. We suggest parents do not bring any infants/toddlers to the concert as it will be very loud — this is for their own health & safety so that it does not cause any hearing impediments in the later stages of their life. We also highly recommend parents book allocated seating tickets if they are bringing their children, again due to their own health & safety.

Why are VIP seated tickets cheaper than VIP GA standing tickets?

VIP Allocated Seats are far away from the stage, but you will be seated along the first few rows. However, VIP GA tickets will be on the floor and the dedicated area for VIPs is placed directly in front of the stage for an up-close concert experience. Both tickets will give you early access to the venue, a dedicated VIP line for merch, access to the post-concert meet & greet session, and a group photo session with PNE.

What’s the difference between the Premium Pass & Allocated Seating tickets as they seem to be the same price?

Premium Pass is general admission (floor area) that permits you early entry to the venue i.e. entry at 5:30pm. This will give you the opportunity to find a good spot on the floor ahead of the general public, and ability to get a closer view of the stage. Allocated seats will be of some distance to the stage and entry will same time as the general public which is at 6pm.

You may purchase tickets for the Auckland – 2 August show from Ticketmaster, whereas tickets for the Christchurch – 4 August show can be bought from Ticketek.
